As part of the periodic meetings scheduled by the Council of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) to monitor the work and activities of the various central and regional departments and services, Mr. Farouk Bouasker, President of the Authority, chaired, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, a working session on strengthening administrative and financial governance within the Authority, in the presence of members of the Council, representatives of the various central departments and services, as well as representatives of the Council’s Office.
During the session, particular attention was given to reviewing the measures and steps taken to strengthen the governance of the Authority’s financial and administrative management, in light of the decisions and recommendations agreed upon during the previous working session. Participants also exchanged views on the various issues raised and put forward proposals aimed at defining an appropriate approach to address all these matters accurately and promptly.
At the conclusion of the session, the President of the Authority stressed the importance attached by the Council to following up on the recommendations of internal and external oversight bodies, as well as to continuously strengthening the principles of good governance and transparency in the Authority’s administrative and financial management. He also emphasized the importance of rationalizing expenditure and safeguarding public funds and property.
