Working session on the governance of administrative and financial management of the Authority

As part of the periodic monitoring of the functioning of the various departments and services of the Independent High Authority for Elections, Mr. Farouk Bouasker, President of the Authority, chaired on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, a working session on the governance of the Authority’s administrative and financial management, in the presence of members of the Authority’s Council, as well as representatives of the various central departments and services and the Council’s office.

During this session, particular focus was placed on reviewing the progress made in implementing the recommendations of the internal and external oversight bodies that had been agreed upon during previous meetings. This was followed by an exchange of views on all the issues raised and the presentation of proposals aimed at defining an appropriate approach for addressing all files in a precise, clear, and comprehensive manner, thereby enabling the Authority’s Council to take appropriate decisions in this regard.

At the conclusion of the session, the President of the Authority emphasized the importance the Council attaches to following up on the recommendations of oversight bodies, as well as its commitment to strengthening the principles of good governance and transparency in the administrative and financial management of the Authority, preserving public funds and assets, and rationalizing expenditures. In this context, he called on all departments and concerned parties to devote greater attention to the implementation of the various recommendations resulting from this session, each within its respective field of competence, and to present the progress achieved in this regard at the next meeting of the committee.
